Patch Testing

WHAT IS AN EYELASH EXTENSIONS GLUE PATCH TEST?

This is a test you should carry out by a professional to make sure you do not have any adverse reactions to your eyelash extensions.

Method One: Advisory for SEMI-PERMANENT lash adhesive (ROYALASH Professional)

Apply 3-5 extensions to natural lashes using the semipermanent adhesive.

Use a small amount of lash adhesive to just three to five individual eyelashes using eyelash extensions, on the outer corners of one eye and allow 24 hours to see if any reaction occurs. If you don't experience a reaction such as, itchiness, swelling or any discomfort, you should be fine to use the semi-permanent lash adhesive. We advise for a professional to do this.

Method Two: Advisory for SEMI-PERMANENT lash adhesive (ROYALASH Professional)

Dot of glue on skin behind the ear

Using a micropore brush apply a small amount of lash adhesive behind the ear, on the lower side as this is a very sensitive area and allow 24 hours to see if any reaction is caused.

If any irritation presents using either method rinse the area thoroughly with warm water for several minutes to remove the product completely. If irritation persists please seek medical attention.

Eyelash Extensions adhesive manufacturers recommend that you follow a simple patch test procedure to replicate the treatment 48 hours before the full application is carried out.

WHAT IS AN EYEBROW TINT/HENNA/LIFTING PATCH TEST?

This is a test you should carry out by a professional to make sure you do not have any adverse reactions to eyebrow colourant.

Method: Advisory for SEMI-PERMANENT eyebrow colourant (ROYALASH Professional)

Apply a small amount of colourant to the skin, behind the ear or on the forearm. Allow to develop on to the skin and remove. Check within 24 hours to see if any reaction occurs. If you don't experience a reaction such as, itchiness, swelling or any discomfort, you should be fine to use the semi-permanent eyebrow colouring tint/henna/lash lifting. We advise for a professional to do this.

WHAT IS AN SEMI-PERMANENT EYEBROW INK PATCH TEST?

This is a test you should carry out by a professional to make sure you do not have any adverse reactions to semi-permanent eyebrow INK

Method: Advisory for SEMI-PERMANENT eyebrow  INK (ROYALASH Professional)

Choose your spot, ideally behind the ear. Disinfect the skin locally, with alcohol wipes. Use a small amount of ink on the back of your hand wearing gloves, and insert ink in through a small scrape/scratch of the skin with a sterile butterfly needle. Cover the treated skin with small dot of ink and let it sit until it's dry. Check within 24 hours to see if any irritation present. Full result will be read in 14 days from the date of patch test, to assure immune system is not interacting with the procedure, if done on a larger scale.

If you don't experience a reaction such as, itchiness, swelling or any discomfort, you should be fine to use the semi-permanent eyebrow procedure with ink. We advise for a professional to do this.
